Meet Your Allies: Lucy Knight

VirtuAlly VMT, Lucy Knight

Many of our Patient Safety Observers (PSOs) have long-term goals of working in the healthcare industry. They demonstrate their commitment by keeping patients safe through VirtuAlly’s Continuous Virtual Monitoring system.

Lucy Knight, one of our PSOs, has been with us for eight months.  Here’s a little more about her:

Where were you before joining VirtuAlly?

I prepared tax returns for my family’s business.

What are your goals for the future?

I’m a nursing student and hope to become a NICU nurse.

What is your favorite part about working as a PSO?

I enjoy getting to know the patients. I love to see the same faces each day so I can build relationships with them.

What has been your most rewarding experience working as a PSO?

My most rewarding experience with VirtuAlly was when I was able to successfully intervene during a pediatric self-harm attempt. I provided redirection and talked them through putting the harmful object down while an onsite staff member was on their way to the room.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I enjoy hunting, hiking, and fishing.

What is your favorite flavor of ice cream?

Peanut butter fudge!

Our PSOs bring humanity to our telehealth solution. It’s thanks to PSOs like Lucy we develop trusting relationships with our patients and keep them safe. Thank you, Lucy, for all that you do!
