Meet Your Allies: Roberta Smith

Many of our Patient Safety Observers have aspirations of growing within our company, one of those individuals is Roberta. Read below to find out more about her.

How many years have you been a PSO?

4 years in January 2023

What do you like most about the job?

I love my team and how we work together to keep our patients safe! I help to lead our employee engagement committee and come up with exciting activities and ways to celebrate our team for all of their hard work.

What did you do before you became a PSO and what do you hope to do in the future?

Before coming to VirtuAlly, I was a mental health technician in a direct patient care setting. I am currently working on a degree in business administration and hope to work in Human Resources once I complete my degree.

What is your most rewarding memory from the job?

I was able to intervene and prevent a patient in the youth inpatient psychiatric setting from attempting suicide.

What do you like to do for fun?

I love watching movies. Action movies are my all time favorite!

What is your favorite flavor of ice cream?

French Vanilla
